Day Seventy One – December 10, 2010

Looking back 10 years ago today…

Oh how I love a good fantasy story. I loved reading The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe as a kid. A book allows us to envision the story ourselves and uses those creative muscles in conjunction with the author. But going to a movie after you’ve lived that experience in your mind and being able to have it hit your other senses and become visually ensconced in the experience is magical in its own way too. Confession: I don’t watch too many movies. I read for a story. I go to movies for the visual stimulation so I pick and choose based on that. Not always but mostly. The Narnia movies, Pixar, historical fiction, and some SiFy are my favorites.

Quick tip on going to the movies with A.S. – Sit in the center of the movie theater! This way you aren’t spending 2 hours with your head turned or tilted up or down. Works like a charm. When we go to a movie, we go early so that we can get the right seats to make the experience joyful and not painful!
