Day Fifty Two – November 21, 2010
Looking back 10 years ago today…
I love being reminded of the family stories I shared over the year of apples and the original post from Day 52 warms my heart especially because it combines memories from both my husband’s and my childhood.
I’ve started a folder in my dropbox of little snippets of stories and maybe one day I’ll put them all together in a book. Last week I added a new story to my growing collection, maybe one day it will be appropriate to share here.
Life is really quite interesting even in the small tidbits of time but the stories can vanish if not captured and stored. Like the memory I have of my grandfather winding the clock – he’s alive for me right now as I see him so clearly in my mind’s eye. That is just the best gift today!
Do you have a childhood memory about old clocks? I’d love to hear about it.
To see my original Day 52 post ~ Cuckoo… cuckoo… ~ from 10 years ago click here or on the image above.
And the story will continue tomorrow…
I’m surprised I didn’t comment on that original post! The clock actually “coo – coo” – ed. Twelve o’clock was quite the thing – 12 coo-coos
I wonder what happened to that clock?
