Today is Day 13 of the Art Apple A Day Retrospective – for information on the project click here.
Day Thirteen – October 13, 2010
Looking back 10 years ago today…
I think I was due to show off my skills a bit – vacation had caused me to phone a few apples in and that just wasn’t going to do. So pointillism is always a fun way to create and I had done a ton of pointillism in college so although this was a time consuming apple the level of difficulty was moderate but creating this made me feel much better about where things were going!

And the story will continue tomorrow…
Shifting to today in 2020 I have been preparing the files for a fundraiser for AS charities. Over the years I have raised money using the idea of ‘Art For Good’ ~ I have this talent and although I’m now a full time artist which requires me to obviously sell my art to make a living, I love to make apples for AS charities.
I’m not sure how much I’ve raised with them over the years but every dollar makes me proud. In the past few years I would do fundraisers with original art which is extremely time consuming and this year with launching the retrospective I just didn’t have time to devote to lots of new pieces. I was going to let October (apple month) pass this year but then I came up with the idea to do a small calendar! Here’s some information on it and if you click the image it will take you to my art website that has a shopping cart if you are so inclined to support me and the fundraiser. Thank you so much!
