fil·ter/ˈfiltər/
Verb: Pass (a liquid, gas, light, or sound) through a device to remove unwanted material.
I consider much of what surrounds us – simply – noise. We are bombarded with sound bites, non-stop visual motion, spectacular images, and words – so many words!
I moved to the country to stop hearing the sound of traffic. But the “unwanted material” I tried to filter never goes completely away. It is a very important part of living in the world in 2011. I need to know what is happening half a globe away. I want to hear the latest song on the radio. And, I live by the images that inspire me.

So, I’ll just filter a bunch of life’s “noise” out find opportunities to exist for a moment in peace – where true beauty exists!
Until tomorrow.
