Today is Day 67 of the Art Apple A Day Retrospective – for information on the project click here.
Day Sixty Seven – December 6, 2010
Looking back 10 years ago today…
My apple wedge is one of only a few sliced pieces of apples. I apparently prefer using the whole apple but I know of one sweet sweet illustration of apple slices that my Mom has on her refrigerator still. Hummm… what day was that? Ahhh… Day Two Hundred Seventy Eight! We’ll get there eventually y’all.
The post from 10 years ago was all about neighborhood Christmas lights though – our current neighborhood has 33 homes and I think all but a couple homes have lights which is just the best! Here is a photo of our Christmas lights this year!
Shifting to today in 2020: Over the summer when I was thinking about if I was going to re-blog this year of retrospective apple posts, I was thinking I might create one new apple a week… and then I got my head together and realized that maybe one a month at this point in my life was an appropriate commitment! I’m having fun thinking about what my monthly apple will be each month and yesterday I posted on Facebook if anyone had any ideas for December…
I got some great ideas! An apple with a mask would be a definite if I were creating daily or even weekly. A candy cane striped apple! A rock apple with a craggy bonsai type tree coming out of it! A Grinch apple! The ideas were so fantastic and the brainstorming really got my creative juices going so thank you everyone for your suggestions. Please feel free to go to the Facebook link above and add your idea!
