Day 134 – Cobwebs and my Once Upon a Time

Art Apple - Day One Hundred Thirty Four

Art Apple - Day One Hundred Thirty Four

My mind has been full of cobwebs.

Not the good kind of webs – not the kind that interconnect and tell a story, but the kind that fog up your thinking. It happens to me when I stretch out my infusion dates (an attempt to save money) and go from my usual and effective 5 weeks to 6 or even 7 weeks.

I find it interesting that it isn’t only my body that is affected by waiting for the Remicade but it is my ability to think straight, concentrate, and feel creative. Of those three things, the most important for me to draw on right now is the ability to be creative and I’m struggling. It drives me crazy really, but it is part of my once upon a time. My story is a web of so many disparate pieces that have come together to bring my art and my passion and my need to share Ankylosing Spondylitis with you. So even when I don’t feel like I can think straight or create anything – as long as I focus on my mission, my passion, I can have faith that I’ll come up with something to share with you and have my… once upon a time.

Until tomorrow.

Jenna

Day 134 was created with images created with three separate images drawn on  http://mrdoob.com/projects/harmony/#web and collaged together with metallic threads.

You are so amazing and creative! I can’t believe the stuff you come up with 🙂

It’s a shame you have to stretch out your infusions 🙁 We are so fortunate here in Australia to have about 6 biologics on our PBS (Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme). The drugs are still highly regulated, but once you are on them, they only cost around $30 a pop. Mine are actually free, as I have them done in a public hospital.

I really missed this days come to this site. But my eyes are better and I can stay more time in the computer.
I like the image of this Day 134, since I see the image I feel many things, empathy, understanding, because many days I feel exactly like you paint there.
I have had many problems with concentration, memory, is incredible how I can have the concentration and memory that I had in the past.
I really missed stay here again!

Dear Jenna, This is an amazing creative apple. I wish that there was something you can take for those in between weeks until your infusion. I agree that medication that it so helpful should be more affordable especially since you have insurance to offset. Love, sis

This is lovely and can totally relate. Recently the cobwebs were cleared for just a moment, and realized how entangled it was, how I could not concentrate for many years, how unfocused I had become, and what I was struggling against and why.
